Obtaining Passes for Public Days:
At the event we will ask $15 cash per admission. (No checks "at the door" please.) Children ages 3 and under are free and will not need a pass.

Dressing for the Event
Q. Can the public attend "in costume"?
A. No. For everyone's safety and security as well as organizational and presentational concerns
we cannot allow adults to attend in historic attire other than our
registered reenactors who are part of our event presentations. All
attending are encouraged to dress modern, comfortably and casually.
(Exception: Children who
are dressing historically as per their homework for an educational outing are welcome to do
so.)

Note: Schnepf Farms is a large farm/festival site with large fields. Please exercise proper care and caution in walking about and stay within the event bounds. All persons enter Schnepf Farms and the American Heritage Festival at their own risk.

Lunch
Pizza Hut, Kettle Corn, Sarsaparilla and Shaved Ice will all be available.
A Water/Pop booth will also be on site.
Please note that we cannot allow outside food or drink into the event on Saturday or Sunday other than for infants or those with medical related dietary needs.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. May I use a check or credit card for
admission at the gate?
A. No. Cash only please.
Q. What hours will the event be open to the public?
A. We are planning on being open from 9AM to 5PM on both Saturday, November 14th and Sunday, November 15th. This is a “rain or shine” event!
Q. Will the two days be the same or different.
A. Each day will have both similarities and differences. For instance the historic Great Awakening style church service is on Sunday only. The line-up of battle reenactments will be different each day as well. Many enjoy attending both days.
Q. Is there a printed schedule or event map available?
A. Schedules and maps will be given out as you enter the event.
Q. Is it OK to bring food or beverages into
the event?
A. No, other than for infants or those with special needs such as diabetics.
Q. Will there be food and beverages available?
A. Yes. Food & beverages will be for sale at reasonable prices inside the event.
Q. Should the public come "in costume"?
A. For safety, security, organizational and presentational concerns we cannot
allow adults to attend in historic attire other than our registered
reenactors who are part of our event presentations. However, children who
are dressing as per their homework for an educational outing are welcome to do
so.
Q. Will there be historic merchants present
again and will they be open to the public?
A. Yes, a variety of interesting merchants will be present.
Q. Is it OK to pass out flyers, pamphlets or
information at the event?
A. No. This is against event rules.
Q. Are pets allowed?
A. No, other than trained animals assisting those with impairments.
Q. May we bring folding chairs into the event?
A. Yes. They may be set up in the battlefield viewing area but not in the
encampment area. Please do not set up so as to block someone else's view.
Q. Will the public be allowed onto the battlefield?
A. ONLY at specific announced times such as for the historic church service and during ANNOUNCED opportunities to learn about the artillery pieces. Anyone crossing onto the battlefield (which shall be “roped off”) during other times may be expelled from the event. This is for your safety!
Q. Will the public area of Schnepf Farms be open also?
A. Yes. You are welcome to explore the shops and other public areas of Schnepf Farms after your time at the American Heritage Festival.
Safety Tip: Though November is usually a cool month we encourage all to consider the use of sunscreen, hats, parasols or other protection from the sun. Drink plenty of fluids and stay hydrated.
Security: You are completely responsible for the safety and security of your person and property. The event and its organizers are not responsible for injury, damage, loss or theft.

Directions from Phoenix, Glendale, The West Valley & Los Angeles
Get to the I-10 and take it through Phoenix and into Tempe until you come to the US-60 (Superstition Freeway) exchange. Take the US-60 east to the Ellsworth Rd. exit. Turn right (south) on Ellsworth and go about 8 miles to Rittenhouse Rd. which is just over the railroad tracks. Turn left (southeast) onto Rittenhouse and drive for about 3.2 miles. The entrance to Schnepf Farms will be to your right on Rittenhouse Rd.
Directions from Scottsdale & Paradise Valley
Take the Loop 101 east/south and proceed to the exchange with the US-60 (Superstition Freeway) in Tempe. Go east on the US-60 until you come to the Ellsworth Rd. exit. Turn right (south) on Ellsworth and go about 8 miles to Rittenhouse Rd. which is just over the railroad tracks. Turn left on Rittenhouse road and drive for about 3.2 miles. The entrance to Schnepf Farms will be to your right on Rittenhouse Rd.
Directions from Tempe & Mesa
Take the US-60 (Superstition Freeway) east to the Ellsworth Rd. exit. Turn right (south) on Ellsworth and go about 8 miles to Rittenhouse Rd. which is just over the railroad tracks. Turn left (southeast) on Rittenhouse and drive for about 3.2 miles. The entrance to Schnepf Farms will be to your right on Rittenhouse Rd.
Directions from Gilbert, Chandler & Ahwatukee Foothills
(A) The northern route: Take the Loop 202 east to Elliott Rd. Go east on Elliott Rd. to Ellsworth Rd. Turn right (south) on Ellsworth and go about 8 miles to Rittenhouse Rd. which is just over the railroad tracks. Turn left (southeast) on Rittenhouse and drive for about 3.2 miles. The entrance to Schnepf Farms will be to your right on Rittenhouse Rd.
(B) The southern route: Drive east on Riggs Rd. until it ends at Ellsworth Rd. Turn left (north) on Ellsworth and proceed ½ mile to Cloud Rd. Turn right (east) on Cloud and take it to Rittenhouse Rd. Turn right (southeast) on Rittenhouse and in about 200 yards you will see the entrance to Schnepf Farms on your right.
Directions from Tucson, Casa Grande & El Paso
Take the I-10 toward Phoenix until you reach exit 175 which is AZ-587. Exit north toward Chandler and drive until you reach Riggs Rd. Turn right (east) on Riggs and continue until Riggs ends at Ellsworth Rd. Turn left (north) on Ellsworth and proceed ½ mile to Cloud Rd. Turn right (east) on Cloud and take it to Rittenhouse Rd. Turn right (southeast) on Rittenhouse and in about 200 yards you will see the entrance to Schnepf Farms on your right.
Directions from Albuquerque
Take the I-40 to the I-17 (in Flagstaff). Go south on the I-17 to the Loop 101 in north Phoenix. Go east on the Loop 101. It will eventually curve to the south and you will proceed to the exchange with the US-60 (Superstition Freeway) in Tempe. Go east on the US-60 until you come to the Ellsworth Rd. exit. Turn right (south) on Ellsworth and go about 8 miles to Rittenhouse Rd. which is just over the railroad tracks. Turn left on Rittenhouse road and drive for about 3.2 miles. The entrance to Schnepf Farms will be to your right on Rittenhouse Rd.
Directions from Flagstaff, Prescott & Anthem
Go south on the I-17 to the Loop 101 in north Phoenix. Go east on the Loop 101. It will eventually curve to the south and you will proceed to the exchange with the US-60 (Superstition Freeway) in Tempe. Go east on the US-60 until you come to the exit for Ellsworth Rd. Turn right (south) on Ellsworth and go about 8 miles to Rittenhouse Rd. which is just over the railroad tracks. Turn left on Rittenhouse and drive for about 3.2 miles. The entrance to Schnepf Farms will be to your right on Rittenhouse Rd.
Directions from San Diego & Yuma
Take the I-8 east past Gila Bend to exit 151 which will be for SR84 / Maricopa Rd. Go left on AZ-84 and proceed about 6 miles until you reach AZ-347. Go left (north) on AZ-347 to Riggs Rd. Turn right and drive east on Riggs until it ends at Ellsworth Rd. Turn left (north) on Ellsworth and proceed to the next major street on your right which will be Cloud Rd. Turn right (east) on Cloud and take it to Rittenhouse Rd. Turn right (southeast) on Rittenhouse and in about 200 yards you will see the entrance to Schnepf Farms on your right.
Directions from Apache Junction, Gold Canyon, & Globe
Take the US-60 west to the exit for Ironwood Rd. Go left (south) on Ironwood until you come to Combs Rd. Turn right (west) on Combs and proceed one mile to Rittenhouse Rd. which will be the stop sign just over the railroad tracks. Turn right (northwest) on Rittenhouse and you will come to the entrance to Schnepf Farms about ¼ mile up the road on your left.
Directions from Florence & Coolidge
Take the Hunt Highway to Ellsworth Rd. Turn right (north) on Ellsworth and proceed just over ½ mile to Cloud Rd. Turn right (east) on Cloud and take it to Rittenhouse Rd. Turn right (southeast) on Rittenhouse and in about 200 yards you will see the entrance to Schnepf Farms on your right.
Alternate Approach
Power Rd. can be taken south to Ocotillo. Go left on Ocotillo and travel east until you come to Rittenhouse Rd. Go right (southeast) on Rittenhouse until you arrive at Schnepf Farms.
